Is my vehicle insured whilst in transit?
All vehicles covered by our comprehensive insurance policy whilst in our care.
Claims for missed damage will be considered individually on their merits according to conditions at time of inspection.
What happens in the event of a breakdown?
Drivelink assume any vehicle conforms to all legal requirements for road use. Drivelink staff will ensure fluid levels are correct before attempting to drive. Drivelink will accept no responsibility for charges relating to mechanical breakdown, failure or recovery which may develop outside the competence of the driver.
How do I book my transport?
All telephoned orders for movement of vehicles must be faxed giving full details.
Registration or chassis number, make, model, accurate addresses including postcode and contact numbers. An order number if required.
What
happens if the vehicle is unavailable for collection?
If on arrival to a customers premises the vehicle should not be available an abortive letter will be made out and presented to the customer for signature. The charge for an abortive collection will be made unless we can find another collection within reasonable distance. In this case charges will be for redirection, hours and fares.
What are your hours of collection
Drivelink assume vehicles are available in office hours (9.00 - 17.30) unless otherwise directed. If a vehicle is not available, waiting time will be charged at the rate of £8.00 per hour after the first half hour.
Premiums may be charged for collection outside these hours.
Can
you transport vehicles without tax or MOT?
Our drivers carry trade plates to cover tax purposes. Vehicles without MOT should be notified to us in advance.
Do you cover off shore areas?
All off shore destinations carry a surcharge. This is based on the required times for reporting in and the actual sailing times. This will be charged at an agreed rate. Ferries will be charged at cost.
Are there any additional costs?
Yes there are additional charges in following circumstances
Night out allowance
Any journey in excess of 450 miles one way will attract an overnight accommodation charge at an agreed rate.
Car wash
This is at the discretion of the driver. We will only jetwash vehicles. The wash will be good as the equipment available.
Tolls
Cost of road bridges and tunnels are included in any movement.
Fuel and oil
Fuel that is not inclusive will be charged at cost along with any fluids needed to make the vehicle road worthy.
